The Dryad is a watercolor piece that I did on watercolor paper. The detail was done in pen and ink. In ancient Greek religion they are beautiful and shy, conversing primarily with Artemis. This one looks like she's just been discovered, a quick picture of her life taken before she turns back into a tree for the day. I have prints available of this fine lady in postcard size, 8X11 and 11X14. They can come matted or unmatted, framed or unframed.
This piece is made entirely from Prismacolor and Copic markers on Bristol board. This fine specimen of the deep is based off of a kind of bio-luminescent squid found in the shallows of the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean. They have a working relationship with a bacteria which inhabit a special light organ in the squid's mantle. As with all of my prints, she is available matted or unmatted. She is currently only available in one size, 6X9.
This piece is done with Copic markers, Prismacolor markers, and Bristol board. She is Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt in Greek tradition. Her most well-known symbol is the stag, and is known to speak to the Dryads and the muses. She protects virgin women, and battles alongside any man she pleases. She is available in Postcard size, 8X11, and 11X14 sizes. Matted or un-matted, framed or un-framed.
This piece is made with Copic markers on Bristol board. It looks as though Little Bo Peep has found her sheep, and what pretty little sheep they are! This piece was made for a fairy-story book that is still in the making. When it goes up for sale, I swear I'll post a link! Prints available in the range of sizes. Postcard, 8X11, 11X14, matted, un-matted, framed or un-framed.
Prismacolor Colored Pencils on Cardstock. Love is not always easy, as demonstrated by my take on Eros (Cupid in the Roman tradition.) Though Cupid is usually depicted as a man, I chose to bend the norm in this piece. In order to show how hard love can be on a person, I put scars on her, which are on their way to healing, but are still quite visible. This piece is available in Postcard, 8X11, and 11X14 sizes. It can be framed or unframed, matted or un-matted.
This piece is water color, Prismacolor colored pencils and Bristol board. Equilibrium is a piece that is partially motivated by the LGBT community, and partially motivated by the Buddhist theory of balance. I wanted to do something that covered the colors of the rainbow, but that did it in a way that gave balance to the male and female power. Available in postcard size, 8X11 and 11X14 sizes. Matted, un-matted, framed or un-framed.
