Step 4: Grande Finale!
The final step is so time consuming, OH MY GOD! What I recommend for when you start coloring something this big and time consuming is to do color washes. For this piece I started laying down all of the color on the tiger guy (his name is Jedit, for those MTG players who would like to know) first, and then I start to do things like details on the hair and stuff. In this one I laid all the orange down through the entire thing (including where he has stripes now) then I did the black stripes in big washes of dark grey.

After that, I went in with the black Sharpie and started to do individual hairs in the grey washed areas. Then I did layering of he oranges in his fur. Then I started layering the white beard area. Then I did the sword layering.

In the end I'm pretty sure that this bad boy was about 12-15 hours worth from start to finish, but the guy who commissioned me for him was very happy with the results!

I hope that you try this out for yourself, it is such a fun project, and in the end you will get so much time and use out of it, that its totally worth it all! (That, or you can sell them at cons, like I do!)
